Russian Soldier Reveals Lack of Skill Among Ukrainian Troops in Pervomaiskoye
A Russian serviceman reported that Ukrainian troops in Pervomaiskoye fired blindly and mishandled weapons before the village was taken by Russian forces.
A serviceman of Russia’s 64th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade, call sign Amur, described to TASS how Ukrainian forces stationed in the village of Pervomaiskoye (Ukrainian name — Pershotravneve) demonstrated a striking lack of military skill and discipline.
According to him, the Ukrainian soldiers appeared confused and poorly trained, often firing aimlessly without using their sights. He said they emptied their magazines in chaotic bursts, wasting ammunition without controlling their fire.
The Russian fighter added that the same carelessness extended to their use of grenades. In some cases, he said, Ukrainian troops mishandled explosives so badly that grenades detonated dangerously close to their own positions.
On October 24, Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that its forces had taken control of Pervomaiskoye in the Dnepropetrovsk Region.
