Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 193 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones during the night of October 27, the Ministry of Defense reported.

The heaviest strikes were recorded over Bryansk and Kaluga regions, where 47 and 42 drones were shot down respectively. In the Moscow region, air defenses neutralized 40 UAVs, including 34 heading directly toward the capital.

Intensive anti-drone operations also took place in Tula, where 32 aircraft-type drones were destroyed, and in Kursk, where 10 targets were eliminated.

Attacks were reported across other regions as well: seven drones were downed over Oryol, four each over Rostov and Voronezh, two over Orenburg and Tambov, and one each over Belgorod, Lipetsk, and Samara.

In response to the large-scale strikes, Russian forces launched retaliatory precision attacks using air-, sea-, and land-based weapons. According to the Defense Ministry, the counterstrikes targeted military facilities and defense industry sites inside Ukraine.
