Russian reconnaissance units have recorded repeated cases of Ukrainian troops booby-trapping the bodies of their fallen comrades, according to the commander of the «Vostok» formation’s intelligence group, known by the call sign Yaga, who spoke to TASS.

He explained that his team no longer inspects the remains of Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield, as «in 99.9 percent of cases» they turn out to be rigged with explosives.

In addition, Ukrainian forces reportedly leave behind mined personal belongings — such as bags, backpacks, and other items — in residential areas, posing a threat both to civilians and to advancing troops.

Earlier, another member of the Vostok unit, a rifleman with the call sign Sumatokha, reported similar incidents, noting that Ukrainian troops often plant explosives on the bodies of their dead and use attack drones against those attempting to surrender.
