The administration of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has confirmed that there are currently no indications of renewed negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
A representative of the Turkish presidency told RIA Novosti that Ankara has not observed any movement suggesting a revival of the peace process. He reiterated that Turkey remains ready to once again host the talks should both sides agree to return to the table.
According to the official, «no processes are underway that would point to the resumption of negotiations.»
Earlier, Moscow and Kiev held three rounds of direct discussions in Istanbul. Those meetings resulted in a prisoner exchange and the repatriation of Ukrainian soldiers’ bodies. The delegations also exchanged draft memorandums outlining possible steps toward conflict settlement.
