Denis Pushilin, head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), stated that following the capture of Chasiv Yar, Russian forces are making progress toward the city of Kostyantynivka. He said that at present, Russian troops hold full control over the fighting near the Kleban-Byk reservoir in the Donetsk region.
Pushilin explained in an interview with VGTRK correspondent Andrei Rudenko that the area around the reservoir has become a key battlefield, shaped by Russian units. He emphasized that the pace and character of the confrontation there are being dictated by their fighters.
The DPR leader also pointed to developments on the Krasnyi Lyman front. According to him, the difficult terrain and dense forests in that sector make every gained position strategically significant. He stressed that Russian forces are now focused on dislodging Ukrainian troops from fortified lines and preventing them from entrenching further.
