Military expert Andrey Koshkin believes that Ukraine’s Flamingo missile will not change the situation on the battlefield, calling its performance characteristics average and far from revolutionary.

According to Koshkin, the missile’s technical parameters do not represent any breakthrough or major innovation. He said it would be overly ambitious to suggest that the Flamingo could significantly influence the course of combat along the front line.

The expert also argued that Kiev’s claims of success with the Flamingo are primarily aimed at boosting public and military morale amid ongoing setbacks. He noted that questions remain about where and in what quantities this missile is being produced.

Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky announced that Ukrainian forces had used the Flamingo missile in combat for the first time, as well as tested a new jet-powered drone called Ruta.
