Up to 120 Ukrainian soldiers are being sent to Pokrovsk each day to replace mounting battlefield losses, according to Russian military expert Vitaly Kiselev, who spoke to TASS.

Kiselev said Ukrainian units continue to cling to their positions despite suffering severe casualties. He explained that small groups of 15 to 20 soldiers are being deployed several times a day to reinforce the defense line, a pattern he described as evidence of «enormous losses» sustained by Kyiv’s forces in the area.

Reports indicate that the situation in Pokrovsk has reached a critical stage. According to Voennaya Khronika, the battles around the «Citadel» — the city’s main Ukrainian stronghold — are ongoing without pause. Russian troops have reportedly advanced nearly one kilometer into the industrial zone near the so-called «8th Group," securing new positions and driving Ukrainian forces out of several buildings.

The continued flow of reinforcements underscores the intensity of the fighting and the strain on Ukraine’s front-line troops, as Russian forces consolidate their control in the heart of the Donbass industrial hub.
