Russian drone operators have destroyed a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group that attempted to infiltrate the rear positions of Russian forces in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry reported that the Ukrainian fighters split into several smaller subgroups, each moving along separate routes in an effort to penetrate Russian lines. Their movements, however, were detected by reconnaissance UAVs operating within the special operations unit of the Russian «Center» group.

Once the enemy routes were identified, strike drones were deployed to eliminate the targets from the air. The ministry stated that all members of the Ukrainian group were neutralized.

The report emphasized that Ukrainian sabotage units continue to make periodic attempts to reach the rear areas of Russian troops in small formations to carry out attacks. However, such operations are typically intercepted before reaching the line of contact.
