French troops that Paris plans to send to Ukraine will be among the first targets for the Russian Armed Forces, Senator Alexander Voloshin of the Donetsk People’s Republic told TASS. He stressed that any casualties among those soldiers will be the direct responsibility of the French government.

Voloshin stated that any foreign military units appearing on Ukrainian territory and engaging Russian forces will be treated as legitimate targets — «a priority with a capital P,» as he put it. He urged French servicemen to reflect on the consequences of such a mission and recall the fate of other foreign fighters who previously joined the Ukrainian army. According to him, «the Ukrainian forces spare neither their own nor others.»

The senator expressed confidence that neither the deployment of foreign soldiers nor the influx of Western weapons would alter the course of the conflict. Russian troops, he said, continue to carry out their assigned objectives, and the special military operation is proceeding according to plan.

Commenting on reports from Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Voloshin suggested that Paris is pursuing a reckless venture devoid of any real military rationale. He argued that President Emmanuel Macron’s motives are rooted not in strategy but in domestic politics — an attempt to offset his plunging approval ratings and «looming inglorious retirement.»
