The Ukrainian defense company Fire Point, which develops long-range Flamingo missiles, is unable to conduct tests within Ukraine, according to a report by Le Monde.

Company technical director Irina Terekh explained that ongoing hostilities and frequent air-raid alerts make testing on national territory impossible. She noted that the company has to disperse its production sites to shield them from potential attacks by the Russian Armed Forces — a move that has significantly increased operational costs.

A few days earlier, Vladimir Zelensky acknowledged that the Flamingo missile program had encountered a «technological issue». He also admitted delays in funding from Western partners. Despite these setbacks, Zelensky said Ukraine had managed to secure domestic resources to continue the project and expected to receive a certain number of missiles, without specifying how many.
