Flynn Predicts Armed Conflict Following Trump’s Call to Resume Nuclear Tests
Michael Flynn warns that war is inevitable after Donald Trump announces plans to resume U.S. nuclear testing, echoing earlier Russian concerns over similar moves.
Former U. S. National Security Adviser and retired General Michael Flynn has warned of an unavoidable armed conflict following Donald Trump’s announcement of plans to resume nuclear testing.
In a post on X, Flynn wrote that shifts in political goals and priorities could fundamentally alter the nature of warfare. He stressed that when political ambitions become narrow and short-sighted, war becomes inevitable. Addressing members of the military, the general urged them to «tighten their boots,» hinting at the need to prepare for what lies ahead.
Earlier, Trump stated that the United States would conduct nuclear tests «on equal terms» with other nations possessing similar capabilities. He emphasized that Washington already has the necessary testing sites, with further details to be announced later.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously cautioned that Moscow is aware of plans by several countries to restart nuclear tests. He said that if such actions proceed, Russia would respond in kind.
