According to analysts from the French outlet Le Point, Russia’s latest cruise missile, the Burevestnik, is capable of penetrating any existing air defense system. The publication noted that this technological breakthrough cannot be ignored by Western countries.

The authors explained that the missile can bypass enemy air defenses by following extended and unpredictable flight paths. They added that the system is designed to carry a nuclear warhead and has already been described in Russia as «untraceable».

Le Point emphasized that the key feature of the Burevestnik is its nuclear propulsion system, which gives it an almost unlimited range. This allows the missile to remain airborne for extended periods and approach targets from unexpected directions, making interception nearly impossible.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the advantages of the system, stating that the missile’s nuclear reactor can be activated within minutes. He also noted that its power unit is a thousand times smaller than that of a standard submarine reactor while maintaining comparable energy output.
