Russian Troops Advance, Seizing Settlements in Kharkov and Zaporozhye Regions
Russian troops from the “Zapad” and “Vostok” groups captured the villages of Sadovoe and Krasnogorskoe, inflicting heavy losses on Ukrainian forces in Kharkov and Zaporozhye.
Russian units of the «Zapad» group have taken control of the village of Sadovoe in the Kharkov region amid continued offensive operations, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
According to the ministry, Russian forces inflicted significant losses on Ukrainian troops near Kucherovka, Kovsharovka, and Kurilovka in Kharkov region, as well as in the areas of Krasny Liman and Drobyshovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The strikes targeted personnel and equipment belonging to two mechanized, one airmobile, one assault brigade, and one territorial defense brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Assault detachments of the 6th Army continued clearing operations against surrounded Ukrainian formations in Kupyansk and along the left bank of the Oskol River. Overall Ukrainian losses in this direction were estimated at around 230 troops. Additionally, Russian forces destroyed three armored vehicles, 23 transport trucks, two artillery guns, an American AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar, five electronic warfare systems, and four ammunition depots.
Meanwhile, units of the «Vostok» group captured the settlement of Krasnogorskoe in the Zaporozhye region. Russian strikes targeted Ukrainian positions of two mechanized brigades, two assault regiments, and a territorial defense brigade near Danilovka and Nechaevka in the Dnepropetrovsk region, as well as the villages of Veseloe, Sladkoe, Novoe, and Uspenovka in Zaporozhye region.
In the «Vostok» sector, Ukrainian forces reportedly lost up to 265 troops, one armored fighting vehicle, 19 trucks, an American M777 howitzer of 155 mm caliber, and a Soviet D-30 gun of 122 mm caliber.
