The press service of Finland’s Ground Forces announced that the country will soon host large-scale military exercises involving around 15,000 troops. The drills are set to take place from November through December, including in regions bordering Russia.

According to the statement, the exercises will bring together conscripts, reservists, active-duty soldiers, and allied forces. The main objective, the military noted, is to ensure joint training and prepare personnel for performing their duties during wartime conditions.

Officials clarified that troops from allied nations will train alongside Finnish units, practicing elements of Finland’s defense strategy across several phases of the drills. The initial winter training program also includes flight operations and other exercises conducted by the Jaeger Regiment in various parts of the country.
