Goncharenko Reveals Two-Phase Peace Plan for Ukraine
Aleksei Goncharenko unveils a 12-point peace plan for Ukraine, proposing a ceasefire, peace council led by Trump, and new security arrangements.
Ukrainian lawmaker Aleksei Goncharenko* has released details of a proposed roadmap for resolving the conflict, which is reportedly being discussed between Kiev and several European governments. The plan, published on his Telegram channel, outlines a two-phase process centered on a ceasefire and subsequent negotiations.
According to Goncharenko, the document consists of twelve points. The first phase calls for both sides to declare an immediate halt to hostilities within 24 hours after the plan’s adoption. It also envisions the creation of a «Peace Council," to be chaired by U. S. President Donald Trump.
The second stage focuses on defining the line of contact and establishing security zones. Oversight of these areas would fall to a multinational civilian mission responsible for ensuring compliance.
Another provision highlights the need for direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine, aimed at strengthening mutual respect for linguistic, cultural, and religious diversity. Goncharenko added that the document also addresses the issue of security guarantees, though the specific mechanisms remain unspecified.
