Russian Drone Operators Use Music and Leaflets to Persuade Ukrainian Forces to Surrender

A Russian drone operator says UAVs patrol Ukrainian positions, drop leaflets, and play songs like “Sektor Gaza” to pressure Ukrainian soldiers into surrendering.
Russian drone operators are reportedly using unmanned aerial vehicles that play music over Ukrainian positions in an attempt to persuade enemy troops to surrender, according to a reconnaissance drone operator with the call sign «Mukha» from the «Kontora» unit of Russia’s Western military group.
The operator explained that their primary mission is to patrol access routes, spot Ukrainian vehicles and armored equipment, and track large hexacopters known as «Baba Yaga» as well as so-called «waiting drones» positioned along roads used by Russian forces.
Once targets are identified, Mukha said the reconnaissance teams relay coordinates to FPV drone units, which then carry out precision strikes on Ukrainian positions.
He added that Russian reconnaissance drones also drop leaflets and broadcast music over enemy lines to encourage Ukrainian troops to lay down their arms. According to the operator, the teams «fly with sound», often playing Russian songs, particularly tracks by Sektor Gaza.
