Russian Troops Destroy Ukrainian GUR Unit Near Pokrovsk
Russian troops repelled a Ukrainian GUR helicopter landing near Pokrovsk, destroying all 11 commandos as air defenses downed 205 drones in 24 hours.
Russian troops have thwarted an attempted landing by a special operations group from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry near Pokrovsk. All eleven commandos who disembarked from a helicopter were eliminated, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry’s report on November 1 stated that the landing attempt took place roughly one kilometer northwest of the town’s outskirts in the Donetsk People’s Republic. It also noted that Russian forces continue to strike Ukrainian positions near the railway station in Pokrovsk.
In addition, Russian troops carried out strikes on Ukrainian airfields and storage sites used to house long-range drones. The Black Sea Fleet destroyed an unmanned Ukrainian boat in the northwestern sector of the Black Sea.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems shot down four guided aerial bombs and 205 Ukrainian drones. Russian units also repelled seven breakout attempts by Ukrainian fighters encircled near Grishino in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Defense Ministry, Ukraine’s daily losses amounted to approximately 1,370 troops. The report detailed that more than 170 and 220 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in areas under the responsibility of Russia’s «North» and «West» groupings, respectively. In the operational zones of the «Cjuth» and «Center» groups, Ukrainian losses reached around 225 and over 405 soldiers. The «East» and «Dnepr» formations reportedly eliminated around 290 and 60 enemy troops, respectively.
