During the past night, Russia’s air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 23 Ukrainian drones, the Defense Ministry reported.

According to the statement, all of the unmanned aircraft were of the fixed-wing type. Thirteen drones were brought down over the Volgograd region, while five were intercepted over Rostov and another five over Crimea.

Ukrainian forces continue to launch daily drone strikes targeting Russia’s border areas and central regions. Most of these drones are described as «kamikaze» types. Russian officials emphasized that the country’s air defenses are consistently detecting and neutralizing the majority of incoming UAVs.

In response to these attacks, Russia’s military has been carrying out precision strikes against Ukrainian drone assembly facilities, defense industry sites, as well as military positions and depots storing weapons and equipment.
