Russian air defense units repelled one of the largest overnight drone assaults launched by Ukrainian forces, the Defense Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, between 23:00 and 07:00 Moscow time from November 2 to 3, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 64 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.

The most intense activity occurred over the Rostov and Saratov regions, where 29 drones were shot down in each area. Four UAVs were destroyed over the Volgograd region, one over Belgorod, and another over the Stavropol Territory.

In addition, the ministry noted that earlier that evening, between 20:00 and 23:00, air defenses neutralized eight more drones. Three were downed over the Kursk region, two over Belgorod, two over Rostov, and one in the skies above Crimea.

The ministry emphasized that all aerial targets were successfully intercepted, preventing any damage or casualties.
