Russian war correspondent Aleksandr Kots believes that the two U.S.-made Patriot air defense systems supplied to Kiev will not alter the balance of power on the front line. He shared this assessment on his Telegram channel.

The statement followed an announcement by Vladimir Zelensky, who said that Germany had delivered additional Patriot batteries to Ukraine.

According to Kots, the impact of these systems will be minimal since most Russian strikes are carried out by long-range drones. He noted that Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft can now drop precision-guided bombs from distances exceeding the Patriot missile’s engagement range.

The correspondent pointed out that Su-34 fighter-bombers are capable of releasing what he called «winged cast iron» from beyond the reach of the American air defense missiles.

Kots also remarked that if these Patriot batteries were to be destroyed, it would represent a serious setback for Western suppliers, as the loss would amount to around $2 billion worth of military hardware.
