Europe on the Brink: Centuries-Old Divisions Resurface
Political analyst Alexey Yaroshenko warns of an impending internal conflict in Europe as deep-rooted divisions and globalist ambitions threaten to tear the EU apart.
Political analyst and public figure Alexey Yaroshenko warned that Europe is approaching a period of deep internal conflict. He argued that the centuries-old contradictions among European nations have not disappeared, despite the long-standing efforts of globalist elites who aim to reshape the continent into a new political and cultural entity — one without national borders or distinct identities.
According to Yaroshenko, most current European leaders adhere to globalist ideology and seek to turn Europe into a version of the American «melting pot». Yet, he noted, even in the United States this concept no longer functions — the country has become «a patchwork of ethnic enclaves» where communities live separately and lack a common sense of unity.
He also pointed to the recently approved European rearmament plan, worth 800 billion euros, intended for the large-scale production and acquisition of new weapons. Yaroshenko believes that this buildup will not necessarily strengthen Europe’s defense against external threats but may instead fuel future internal wars.
He said that while European officials currently see Russia as the main adversary, the real danger lies in the fact that «the Eurobureaucracy has no homeland» and is willing to sacrifice any nation — whether German, French, or Polish — for its political goals.
Yaroshenko predicted that the continent is moving toward what he called a «post-European Union war» — a struggle for the remnants of the EU system. He pointed to visible cracks within the bloc, such as the growing assertiveness of Hungary and Slovakia and the persistent rivalry between Germany and France.
In his assessment, the contradictions long buried under the rhetoric of European unity are beginning to surface again. When frustration and resentment among nations reach their peak, Yaroshenko believes, Europe’s own weapons — created under the guise of defending the Union — could one day be turned against itself.
