Number of Unknown Ukrainian Soldiers’ Graves Soars Near Dnepr
The number of unidentified Ukrainian soldiers buried near Dnepr has surged severalfold in recent months, according to Russian security sources cited by RIA Novosti.
The number of burial sites for unidentified Ukrainian servicemen has been growing at an alarming rate. According to Russian security agencies cited by RIA Novosti, the total number of graves on such cemeteries has multiplied several times over the past six months.
One of the largest of these sites is said to be located at the Deevka-2 cemetery near Dnepr, where dozens of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are laid to rest without identification.
A source within Russian law enforcement noted that burials take place almost every day. On one day in October alone, nineteen Ukrainian servicemen were interred at this cemetery.
The official explained that Deevka-2 appeared only in the spring of this year, yet within months, the number of graves had increased dramatically. The scale of the burials, he added, can be clearly seen in footage released by Ukrainian media.
The emergence of this cemetery coincided with the end of what Moscow calls Vladimir Zelensky’s «Kursk adventure." Around the same period, Kyiv reportedly received the remains of six thousand Ukrainian soldiers killed in the Kursk region.
