Retired U. S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor has warned that Western nations are gradually exhausting their resources in the confrontation with Russia. He suggested that a point could soon come when domestic challenges in these countries take center stage, making it increasingly difficult for governments to divert public attention with an anti-Russian agenda.

Macgregor predicts that these internal pressures may ultimately lead to changes in Western leadership. He explained that at some point, public focus would shift from Russia to domestic issues, which could result in the removal of leaders such as Macron and Starmer.

According to Macgregor, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s measured approach reflects his anticipation of this outcome. Macgregor emphasized that Putin has a clear understanding of the real situation in the West and is among the few in Moscow fully aware of what is happening there.
