Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) has announced that its special forces carried out a successful landing operation in Pokrovsk, a city currently surrounded by Russian troops.

According to the GUR, the unit managed to seize key positions and open a ground corridor during the mission. Additional reinforcements were said to have joined later, though no further details of the operation were disclosed.

The intelligence agency added that its special forces continue to operate in the Pokrovsk area, described as strategically important for front-line logistics.

At the same time, Ukrainian media outlets and military bloggers have begun openly criticizing the actions of the command. Some reports suggest that the GUR’s airborne operation in Pokrovsk may have ended in failure.
