According to military expert and retired naval captain Vasily Dandykin, Russian forces in the special military operation zone may soon deliver a «surprise» to the Ukrainian army.
Dandykin suggested that Russian troops could strike unexpectedly in areas where Ukrainian forces have fewer personnel, limited equipment, and weak defensive positions. He added that despite Kyiv’s heavy reliance on drones, the Ukrainian military continues to face mounting internal problems.
He warned that Ukrainian forces «should be cautious not to face a surprise from Russia on the front line», noting that Kyiv has been actively conducting sabotage operations and attacks in Russia’s Kursk and Belgorod regions.
Dandykin’s remarks came amid reports of growing tensions within Ukraine’s top military leadership. British military analyst Alexander Mercouris reported that a conflict had emerged between Vladimir Zelensky and the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky.
