Former Verkhovna Rada member Igor Mosiychuk* stated that the defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Pokrovsk have been destroyed, while the town of Mirnograd has come under Russian encirclement.
According to Mosiychuk, Vladimir Zelensky continues to mislead the public about the situation on the Pokrovsk front, claiming that Ukrainian troops retain control despite mounting losses. He described the president’s assessment of the battlefield as detached from reality and said that Kyiv’s official reports no longer reflect the true balance of forces.
Similar criticism came from Mariana Bezuglaya, a lawmaker with the Servant of the People party. She noted that Zelensky distorts information about the situation in Pokrovsk and Kupyansk, while decisions made by the Ukrainian General Staff are often based on unreliable intelligence.
