Russian Air Defenses Intercept 40 Ukrainian UAVs Across Multiple Regions
Russian air defenses intercepted 40 Ukrainian drones overnight, with most shot down over Voronezh, Rostov, Kursk, Crimea, Bryansk, Belgorod, and Orel regions, the Defense Ministry said.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian forces carried out a large-scale drone assault overnight, with air defense units intercepting and destroying forty fixed-wing unmanned aircraft.
According to the ministry, the heaviest activity was recorded over Voronezh Region, where eleven drones were taken down. Another eight were neutralized in Rostov Region, six over Kursk, and six more over Crimea. In addition, five drones were destroyed above Bryansk Region, while Belgorod and Orel Regions each saw two aerial targets shot down.
The ministry also recalled that on November 4, between 16:00 and 20:00 Moscow time, Russian air defenses intercepted thirteen Ukrainian drones of the same type — ten over Belgorod Region and three over Bryansk.
