Ukrainian military units have reportedly carried out an explosion targeting the industrial infrastructure of the Krasnolimanskaya coal mine-one of the largest mining operations in the Donbas region. The claim was made by Igor Kimakovsky, an advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Kimakovsky told TASS that the damage appeared to be partial in scope. He also noted that this was not the first such incident, recalling that Ukrainian forces had previously carried out similar actions at the Pokrovske mine management complex.

The Krasnolimanskaya mine, located near the settlement of Rodynske, is the second-largest coal producer in the DPR. It extracts millions of tons of coal annually, much of which is used by the metallurgical industry.
