Russian Air Defenses Intercept 61 Ukrainian Drones Overnight


Russia’s Defense Ministry reports 61 Ukrainian drones shot down overnight across eight regions and the Black Sea. No damage or casualties were officially reported.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that air defense units intercepted and destroyed 61 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones during the night of August 3–4. The attack spanned eight Russian regions and the Black Sea area.
According to the ministry’s statement, the wave of drones was brought down between 11:00 p.m. on August 3 and 5:20 a.m. on August 4.
The largest number-18 drones-was intercepted over the Black Sea. In Voronezh region, 12 drones were downed, followed by 11 over Crimea and 8 in Belgorod region. Six drones were shot down in Volgograd, while Bryansk and Rostov regions each reported two interceptions. One drone was neutralized over Moscow region, and another over Ryazan.
The Ministry of Defense did not report any casualties or damage.
Ukrainian forces continue to launch daily attacks targeting energy facilities and civilian infrastructure, according to Russian officials.
