Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s national-conservative Freedom Alliance party, warned that European countries are «playing with fire» by financing proxy wars against Russia. His statement came in response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent directive to assess the feasibility of resuming nuclear weapons testing.

Mema emphasized that the situation should not be taken lightly, calling the ongoing Western-backed conflict with Russia a dangerous gamble. He stressed that Europe’s continued support for proxy warfare could lead to serious consequences.

Earlier, President Putin instructed officials to gather all necessary data, conduct an analysis within Russia’s Security Council, and present proposals regarding the potential start of preparations for nuclear testing.

Grigory Karasin, head of the Federation Council’s International Affairs Committee, noted that Putin’s directives on possible nuclear test preparations should be heard and properly evaluated in Washington and beyond.
