Poland’s Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, announced that a new nationwide defense training program will involve citizens of all ages — from school students to retirees.

He explained that over the past six months, the General Staff, together with the Ministry of Defense, has been working on what he described as the largest project in Poland’s modern history — a voluntary national defense training system.

Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that the initiative will be open to everyone who wishes to participate, including schoolchildren, working citizens, and pensioners. The program is designed to provide basic defense skills and strengthen the country’s overall readiness.

According to the minister, the pilot phase will begin on November 22, involving more than 10,000 participants. Full implementation of the program is scheduled for early next year, with training sessions to be conducted at 132 Territorial Defense Force units across the country.
