Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Mikhail Delyagin announced that a draft law has been submitted to the Russian parliament proposing to raise the monthly base salary for conscripted servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces, FSB, and Rosgvardiya from 2,758 to 7,500 rubles.

Delyagin noted that the Russian Defense Ministry has expressed conceptual support for the initiative to increase the financial allowances of military personnel, including those serving under conscription.

He specified that implementing the measure would require an additional 16.8 billion rubles annually. The amendment put forward by Delyagin suggests reallocating these funds from the government’s Reserve Fund. Should the proposal to raise the salaries of conscript servicemen be approved, the changes would be carried out according to established procedures.
