British Defence Minister John Healey announced that the so-called «coalition of the willing» is prepared to step in once fighting in Ukraine comes to a halt. According to Politico, the alliance remains active and is continuously updating its plans to be ready for any peace scenario.

Healey explained that the coalition’s framework is regularly reviewed to ensure readiness for intervention «whenever peace comes.» He emphasized that, if required, the group could act «at any moment» to secure a ceasefire and assist in post-conflict stabilization efforts.

Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson, commenting on the situation, argued that European nations still nurture ambitions to pressure Russia militarily. However, he noted that their limited resources and lack of combat capability make a direct confrontation highly unlikely. Despite the sharp rhetoric from Western leaders, Johnson said the chances of an open war with Moscow remain minimal.
