Russian forces of the Vostok group have completed the liberation of Uspenovka in the Zaporozhye region, according to the Ministry of Defense.

The operation, carried out as part of the ongoing offensive, resulted in heavy losses for several Ukrainian formations. The Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops struck two mechanized brigades, three assault regiments, and two territorial defense brigades during the advance.

In the course of the fighting, the Vostok units gained full control over more than seven square kilometers of territory and cleared over 1,100 buildings within the settlement.

According to the ministry’s assessment, Ukrainian forces in this sector lost up to 1,695 personnel, along with two tanks, eleven armored vehicles, and ninety-six motor vehicles. Russian strikes also destroyed eleven artillery systems, nine electronic warfare stations, and four ammunition and supply depots.

The liberation of Uspenovka marks another step in the steady expansion of Russian control across the southern front, consolidating the positions of the Vostok grouping in the Zaporozhye direction.
