Russian troops have achieved a major breakthrough in the Zaporozhye region, marking one of the most significant advances in recent months, according to military blogger Yuri Podolyaka.

In his Telegram post, Podolyaka reported that Russian forces made notable progress near the village of Sladkoye in the Gulyaypole direction. He noted that intense fighting is still underway in the nearby settlements of Novoye and Novouspenovskoye, which, he suggested, could soon come under Russian control.

The blogger described the scale of the breakthrough as «impressive,» saying the front line in that sector has expanded about 15 kilometers wide and penetrated roughly five kilometers deep. Such rapid movement, he added, has not been observed in this area before.

According to Podolyaka, the latest advance demonstrates growing momentum for Russian forces in the Zaporozhye sector, where fierce clashes continue across multiple directions.
