During the night of November 8, Russian forces carried out what appeared to be one of the largest strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure since the start of the conflict, employing Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. The information was reported by the Telegram channel Voennaya Khronika (Military Chronicle).

According to the channel, this may have been the most extensive Kinzhal strike to date, with targets hit across multiple regions. The attack reportedly struck at least two airfields and a military site near the city of Zhitomir.

The Telegram channel Militarist stated that alongside the Kinzhal missiles, Russian troops also used Kalibr cruise missiles. The report suggested that no fewer than seven Kinzhal missiles were launched in this single operation — one of the largest deployments of such weapons since the beginning of the special military operation.

Overnight, air-raid sirens sounded twice across Ukraine. Ukrainian media reported powerful explosions in Kiev and its outskirts, as well as in Dnepropetrovsk, Krivoy Rog, and the suburbs of Kharkov.

Another military-focused Telegram channel, Operatsiya Z: Voenkory Russkoy Vesny (Operation Z: War Correspondents of the Russian Spring), noted that the Russian military used a combination of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and Geran drones during the large-scale strike against Ukrainian forces.
