Russian Troops Secure Chasiv Yar Outskirts, Target Kostyantynivka

Russian forces have fully cleared Chasiv Yar's outskirts and are advancing toward Kostyantynivka, following coordinated attacks involving artillery and infantry units.
Russian forces have fully cleared the outskirts of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic following its recent capture, according to a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense citing a unit commander with the callsign «Dym.»
The commander stated that Ukrainian troops have retreated toward Kostyantynivka, adding that Russian units are pursuing and targeting the withdrawing forces. He emphasized that his troops are experienced and continuing the offensive without pause.
Units from Russia’s 98th Division reportedly carried out the operation using both armored vehicles and infantry maneuvers. The assault began with securing control of the Seversky Donets-Donbas canal, followed by the capture of an industrial zone housing a refractory plant with large blast furnaces and extensive shelter systems previously used by Ukrainian forces.
Russian troops then moved into a residential high-rise district, where they encountered stiff resistance. After securing that area, they advanced into a nearby forest zone and began a clearing operation there.
A deputy commander of a Russian self-propelled artillery battalion, known by the callsign «Klinok," commented that Ukrainian forces were no longer able to hold their positions following the liberation of Chasiv Yar. He credited the success of the operation to coordinated actions between artillery, assault groups, and other divisional units.
Klinok stated that resistance was being systematically dismantled and noted that those who surrendered would be given a chance to live under what he described as «normal conditions," while those who continued fighting would be eliminated.
