Military expert Yuri Knutov believes that the presence of a captain in the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group, which was eliminated in the Bryansk region, indicates the serious objectives of the foiled provocation. He pointed out that such operations typically do not involve individuals with high military ranks.

Knutov suggested that while the full scope of the group’s objectives may not be known, the captured captain could provide critical insights into the hidden tasks assigned to the group. This information, he believes, would be invaluable to Russian intelligence services.

The expert further explained that the captured enemy captain could reveal important details about Ukrainian intelligence plans against Russia in the near future. Knutov emphasized that the fact that three of the saboteurs were captured alive and unharmed represents a significant victory for Russian special forces.

According to Knutov, the captain’s training methods indicate that he was a high-level officer within the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance units, underscoring the importance of the mission assigned to the group.
