The Russian Ministry of Defense released an update on the progress of its military operation in Ukraine as of November 8. According to the report, units of the «East» group advanced deeper into enemy positions and completed the liberation of the village of Volchye in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops reportedly took control of 39 buildings in the Pokrovsk area and repelled 14 Ukrainian attacks near Grishino. Offensive operations also continued around Mirnograd, where Russian forces cleared 19 buildings of Ukrainian fighters within a day.

The report stated that in response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian targets inside Russia, the Russian military launched a large-scale missile strike using Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and drones. The targets were enterprises of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex and energy facilities supporting their operation.

Additionally, Russian soldiers repelled two counterattacks by units of Ukraine’s 1st National Guard Brigade near Osinovo in the Kharkov region, where Ukrainian forces attempted to break through and relieve their encircled troops.

In the Petrovka area, also in the Kharkov region, Russian troops foiled an attempt by a Ukrainian assault group to breach defenses and rebuild a destroyed crossing over the Oskol River.

According to the Defense Ministry’s summary, Ukraine’s total daily losses across all fronts amounted to approximately 1,330 personnel.
