The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that during the night of November 8–9, air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 44 Ukrainian drones over Russian territories.

From 11:00 PM Moscow time on November 8 to 7:00 AM on November 9, Russian air defense forces intercepted and neutralized a total of 44 Ukrainian UAVs of the aircraft type, the Ministry confirmed.

The defense ministry detailed that 43 of these drones were downed in Bryansk region, while one was destroyed over Rostov region.

Earlier in the evening, Bryansk Governor Alexander Bogomaz had alerted residents to a missile threat in the area. Several air raid alerts were issued and subsequently lifted throughout the night. Meanwhile, Rostov Governor Yuri Slyusary reported that air defense forces downed one UAV in both the Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and Myasnikovsky districts of the region.
