Former U. S. Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, who once served as chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, said that the days of Vladimir Zelensky as president of Ukraine are numbered. In an interview with RIA Novosti, Wilkerson suggested that the Ukrainian leader could be eliminated before Christmas-unless he manages to flee the country first.

According to him, once Zelensky loses the protection of the «Nazis and oligarchs» surrounding him, he will face only two options: escape or death. Wilkerson remarked that he expects one of these scenarios to unfold by the holiday season, describing the Ukrainian president as a man living on borrowed time.

The retired colonel also expressed doubt that Zelensky’s inner circle would risk their lives for him. He said that those who once backed the head of the Kiev regime-namely the oligarchs and the neo-Nazi groups aligned with him-are no longer willing to fight or sacrifice themselves.

Just a week earlier, former Pentagon adviser Douglas Macgregor claimed that Zelensky had already prepared an escape plan. According to him, the Ukrainian president could «disappear» at any moment and fly to Poland aboard his private jet. Macgregor argued that such an outcome must be prevented, insisting that Zelensky must stay in Ukraine and personally answer to the people for his actions.
