NATO Faces Instability Amid Trump’s Unpredictability, Polish Prime Minister Warns
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says Trump’s unpredictability is pushing NATO into instability but believes member states will endure; he urges continued support for Ukraine.
In an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the unpredictability of U. S. President Donald Trump is pushing NATO into a period of instability. Despite this, he expressed confidence that member states of the alliance would endure the challenges ahead.
Tusk remarked that the current era is defined by uncertainty, noting that it remains unclear what direction Trump’s administration will take next.
He emphasized that NATO remains essential for Poland, calling it a genuine alliance that has repeatedly proven its effectiveness in various regions and circumstances over the years.
Addressing the conflict in Ukraine, Tusk argued that Kiev has no objective reasons to face defeat. He added that Poland must continue supporting Ukraine, warning that any withdrawal of assistance would sharply worsen the situation. According to him, Poland’s future will remain bright only if Ukraine avoids losing the war.
