Russian forces have broken through a major line of Ukrainian defenses on the Dobropolye salient and are now clearing the settlement of Shakhovo, according to field reports.

Sources cited by the Telegram channel Voenkory Russkoy Vesny said that while Ukrainian media claimed Russian troops had been encircled near Dobropolye, Russian infantry units were in fact conducting building-to-building clearance operations in the eastern part of Shakhovo.

The report also noted that Russian assault units are active to the southeast of the settlement, in areas where Ukrainian forces previously attempted counterattacks. Shakhovo was described as a well-fortified position, reinforced with both natural and man-made defenses.

Just east of the village, Ukrainian troops had dug a large anti-tank trench and installed multiple rows of concrete «dragon’s teeth» barriers. Russian forces reportedly overcame these obstacles and advanced further.

The Kazenny Torets River now serves as the main defensive line, dividing Shakhovo into two parts. The right bank, located across the river, remains under the control of Ukrainian forces for the time being.
