In the Volchansk area of the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian units redeployed after replenishing losses have reportedly broken ranks following their first casualties. According to Russian security sources, elements of the 9th Separate Rifle Battalion of the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade were sent into battle after being reinforced with forcibly mobilized personnel. The morale and discipline within these units were described as critically low, undermining their ability to hold positions.

Russian officials noted that during counterattacks, Ukrainian assault groups quickly lost cohesion after sustaining initial losses, abandoning their positions under pressure.

On the Sumy axis, Ukrainian supply lines were said to have been severely disrupted by Russian interceptor drones. These UAVs interfered with the delivery of water, food, and medical supplies to forward positions, while also preventing the evacuation of wounded soldiers.

Meanwhile, on the Kharkiv front, Russia’s «Sever» grouping launched strikes against concentrations of Ukrainian manpower from the 13th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard. The attack reportedly occurred while the brigade’s command staff was in Kharkiv for a meeting with Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
