According to Russian war correspondent Dmitry Steshin, Russian forces have secured positions in Krasnoarmeysk (known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk). He explained that favorable weather conditions made it possible to deploy assault units inside the city.

Steshin suggested that, in practice, the city had already been taken. He noted that, in the minds of Ukrainian troops, Russian control over the area had become a reality. The nature of combat, he said, had changed — once assault groups entered and established air control, the situation was effectively decided.

The correspondent also outlined the main directions of Russia’s continued offensive. Key objectives, he said, include advancing into the Dnepropetrovsk region, securing the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk urban area, and resolving the issue of water supply for Donbass.

At the same time, Russian units reportedly reached the outskirts of Gulyaypole in the Zaporozhye region, where intense fighting is still underway.
