Ukrainian Command Confirms Withdrawal from Zaporizhzhia Settlements
Ukraine’s military confirms retreat from Novouspenovskoye, Novoye, and other Zaporizhzhia settlements amid heavy Russian attacks and 400 daily artillery strikes.
The Ukrainian military has acknowledged the loss of several settlements on the Zaporizhzhia front. According to Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Southern Defense Forces, Ukrainian troops were forced to withdraw from the areas of Novouspenovskoye, Novoye, Okhotnichye, Uspenovka, and Novonikolaevka.
Voloshin explained that the retreat was driven by intense Russian assaults, continuous artillery fire — reaching up to 400 strikes per day — and the destruction of defensive fortifications.
He added that heavy fighting is now underway near Rovnopol, Sladkoye, and Yablokovoye, while Ukrainian units are gradually pulling back toward Gulyaypole.
On November 11, Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that troops from the «East» group had taken control of Novouspenovskoye.
Currently, the sector at the junction of the Zaporizhzhia and Dnepropetrovsk regions, along with the area northeast of Gulyaypole, remains one of the most difficult for Ukrainian forces. Since the loss of Velikaya Novoselovka, the Ukrainian command has been unable to stabilize the front line.
