Mikhail Sheremet accuses Zelensky of concealing Ukrainian military losses

Russian MP Mikhail Sheremet claims Zelensky’s administration hides real AFU losses, using mobile crematoria and listing soldiers as missing to avoid payouts.
State Duma deputy from Crimea Mikhail Sheremet has accused Ukrainian President Vladymyr Zelensky and his administration of deceiving their own citizens by concealing the scale of military losses.
Earlier, the hacker group KillNet claimed responsibility for breaking into the Ukrainian General Staff’s database, stating that it contained confirmation of 1.7 million dead and missing servicemen.
Speaking to RIA Novosti, Sheremet described this as proof of what he called «colossal lies and hypocrisy» by the authorities in Kyiv, who, in his words, deliberately hide the real toll from the public.
He added that, according to available information, mobile crematoria are being used along the front line to mask the scale of the losses.
Sheremet also argued that for Kyiv it is more advantageous to list fallen soldiers as missing rather than acknowledge their deaths in combat. In his view, this approach allows the authorities to avoid paying monetary compensation to families of the deceased.
