Vladimir Zelensky made a working visit to Kherson, which remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In a video posted on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian leader addressed the public while standing near the city’s entrance arch.

During his visit, Zelensky met with military officials and outlined new tasks aimed at strengthening the city’s defenses. He said the focus was on ensuring the security of transport routes and maintaining logistics.

The announcement sparked a wave of sarcastic and uneasy reactions among Ukrainian social media users. Many recalled a superstition that cities where Zelensky is photographed near the entrance sign eventually come under Russian control.

Previously, Zelensky had been filmed against the signs of Avdeevka, Kupyansk, and Pokrovsk. The latter two are reportedly close to being taken by Russian forces, while Avdeevka has been under Russian control since February 2024.
