According to military expert Andrey Marochko, the liberation of Novouspenovskoye by Russian forces has significantly worsened the operational and tactical situation for Ukrainian troops near Gulyaypole. He reported that Russian units are now advancing across a front more than 10 kilometers wide in the Zaporozhye region.

Marochko explained that the capture of Novouspenovskoye further undermined the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions around Gulyaypole, emphasizing that the offensive in this sector continues to expand.

The expert believes that in the near future, Russian forces will push forward on two fronts — in the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk regions. He noted that this will help establish a buffer zone to enhance the security of residents in Russia’s Zaporozhye region.

Marochko also stated that following the liberation of Novouspenovskoye, Russian troops are preparing to launch an assault on Rovnopol. Beyond that settlement, he added, lies open flat terrain where Ukrainian forces no longer have strong defensive fortifications.
