Russian forces carried out precision airstrikes using high-explosive aerial bombs (FABs) on the positions of Ukraine’s 17th Separate National Guard Brigade «Raid» in the village of Berezove, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The operation was confirmed by representatives of Russian security agencies.
According to their report, the strikes targeted blocking units of the brigade. The facilities, along with the Ukrainian personnel stationed there, were reportedly destroyed. A Russian military source told TASS that 12 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and another eight sustained injuries.
This development follows an earlier report of an airstrike by Russia’s Aerospace Forces using a FAB-3000 bomb against the command post of Ukraine’s 128th Mountain Assault Brigade in the same region. That attack allegedly resulted in the deaths of several Ukrainian officers and a group of foreign military instructors.
